Basecamp also provides counsellor training programmes as well as post-qualification courses.

This comprehensive, entry-level course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills and professional awareness needed to use counselling skills ethically and effectively in a wide range of helping roles.

This Level 3 qualification builds on existing counselling skills and deepens understanding of theory and professional practice. It equips learners to apply counselling skills ethically, confidently, and safely in a range of helping contexts, while preparing them for further progression toward professional counselling roles.
The course encourages self-awareness, reflective practice, and the integration of core humanistic theory in working with clients.

This two year part-time qualification gives learners the knowledge, skills and competencies to work as a therapeutic counsellor in an agency context in both health care and non-medical settings.
Successful completion of this course means you will be able to provide a therapeutic counselling service – initially within the context of an agency’s service framework but later (with experience and support from the supervisor, or by completing PC-L5 or its equivalent) may progress to independent practice.

The Rewind is an evidence-based practice that reduces the symptoms of PTSD. This course is for counsellors and other professionals who work in the field of trauma who wish to add a non-disclosure trauma technique to their practice. Completing this one-day training will allow you to become a recognised Rewind practitioner.Â
One day course: 10:00 – 17:00
