In December 2022 Basecamp held its first toy exchange. We wanted to do something to help the local community with the cost of Christmas due to the ongoing cost of living crisis.

People were able to bring along toys that their children had outgrown or no longer played with and exchange them for preloved toys that they wanted.

We offered the event free of charge.
We were overwhelmed with toy donations before the event, which meant we were able to help several families and schools, as well as saving lots of toys from landfill.

We hope to put on another Toy Exchange in December 2023.
